Staff here is wonderful. The spaces we rented are roomy and clean but desperately outdated. Furniture (other than beds) is cheap and uncomfortable. Everything needs a coat of paint. This property feels like 1990s Time Machine. Again - great staff and super clean! Just not as expected.

We stayed at the Apartotel and Suites Villas del Rio for two weeks on our first ever visit to Costa Rica. The continental breakfast along with the made to order options was a perfect way to start each morning. The staff was one of the biggest highlights. The noticeable perk was the security presence and attentiveness to the guests and visitors of the premises. Everyone was incredibly kind and the front desk team went above and beyond. They recommended several authentic local restaurants that were both affordable and close by and every suggestion was spot on. They helped us choose tours in the area that matched what we enjoy. Our room exceeded our expectations. It was spacious, spotless, and far nicer than we imagined from the photos. The patio quickly became one of our favorite places to relax. The cleaning staff did an excellent job throughout our stay keeping everything fresh and comfortable. Two stand out perks were the heated pool in the 24/7 coffee which we took advantage of daily. Overall the condo delivered far more than we anticipated. Great service, great amenities and great location. All around a fantastic stay!

Clean apartment in a conveniently located apartment. Staff could not be nicer! Funky floor layout but super roomy. A good spot for day trips from the area.

I was very happy with my stay. The apartment was large, comfortable and a good value. Breakfast was very good. The grounds are pretty. The large heated pool and hot tub were a treat. Only 2 minor complaints. (1) The listing said there was coffee in the room. There was a coffee maker but no coffee provided. (2) Stranger still it had a fully equipped kitchen and nothing was provided to wash dishes. No dish cloth or dish soap.

Beautiful resort. Stayed 3 times. Great fresh fruit breakfast. Love the suites. Complete kitchen with pots, pans, plates and utensils. Heated pool and spa. Staff was great. Reasonable prices in store. Secure safe location. Loved it!

The breakfast was not the best, it was very repetitive and limited. Some of the staff at the front desk were not the friendliest and not willing to help us. For example booking a tour, instead of helping us figure out how to book it the lady at the front desk simply handed us a pamphlet without saying a word to us. Our microwave did not work the whole time and on our final night when we came back from being out all day, all our towels were gone so we had to use a small hand towel for our showers. In addition they kept running out of beach towels whenever we wanted to go to the pool. There is no room service and or dining options besides breakfast, so you will have to either Uber Eats or walk down the road for lunch and or dinner.

Nice place to stay

Breakfast was not that interesting it would be a low on my rating only went 3 times in 25 days cause I just wasn’t that impressed coffee was like water . Laundry services was excellent
