Pleasant atmosphere. Good food but a little pricey. Enjoyed sitting on the balcony sipping a drink. Huge shower head. Very hot water. Overall, FANTASTIC stay. Also, very convenient public transportation. Sydenham Train station across the street. Instead of taking expensive train to/from domestic or international airport, easy to use bus 420 to Mascot station then 358 to Sydenham. Cost was $1.

SO convenient for train, and SO quiet, even though rooms are above the pub. And easy checkout- just dropping key at lift entrance

Love staying at this pace! It’s so comfortable and the food at the restaurant downstairs is superb!

Parking was inconvenient, as no car park at hotel, nice bar & cafe, good location

The staff were great. You have to order room service at the bar and then bring it up to you however which could be something to note. However, the staff are really friendly and overall was a good experience. The TV connection in the room was a bit glitchy a shame specially during World Cup.

Room very comfortable and spacious. So convenient to be across from train station.

Not only is the General Gordon in a super convenient and quit location, the pub and beer garden below go off. Aside from the location and vibes, the rooms are spacious, quaintly styled, and the bathrooms are stunning with a fresh renovation. On-top of it all the beds are consistently comfy and the process for checking in and out couldnt be easier. Will definitely be staying again.
