The hotel was about 7-8 min walk from train station and right in the area to enjoy shops and restaurants with ease. Clean and had the needed amenities and fairly spacious compared to a couple of other hotel stays. Only minor thing is that the balcony overlooked the service entrance for the hotel next door and the workers liked to congregate for breaks. With no a/c it was nice to leave windows/door open. They could’ve been a little quieter as the night wore on. The reception was great and they suggested some places to eat and even suggested a slight change to plans based on the weather up top which worked out well.

Too small and the rooms are tiny and no room to sit or walk

Overall a clean room. No shampoo or hair conditioner and bare bone overall hence giving 4/5 stars. I liked that it had a normal hair blow dyer unlike other hotels with the wall mounted ones.

Centre of town. Property must provide complimentary e taxi services to all travellers as it was very difficult to carry all bags and backpacks from railway station of Zermatt.

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel which was located just off the busy main street and somewhat central for walking to other locations. We found the room to be a tiny bit small for us with 2 medium sized suitcases as there wasn't much floor space.

Wonderful place to stay in Zermatt. Centrally located. Lovely, comfortable and well appointed rooms. Make sure you get a balcony room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I would stay at Hotel Tannenhof again if/when I am in Zermatt again.

Loved our stay! The room was perfect, clean, modern, and quaint. Could even see some of the Matterhorn from our balcony. Front desk staff was so helpful in guiding us and providing recommendations during our visit.

Nice location just off the main street in the village. Excellent breakfast with a perfect view of the Matterhorn. Nice balcony. Comfortable room. The front desk clerk went above and beyond giving us restaurant recommendations and showing us on the map how to get to the various gondola’s and cogwheel trains we needed for our planned hikes. We enjoyed our 4 night stay and would definitely stay there again.

Clean room, very helpful staff and a very good breakfast were the positives. Room size was a bit tight. We stayed there during the heatwave, not having air conditioner nor the fans was a challenge.
