We have been to the hotel before and usually have an apartment for the family. It is so well equipped and spotlessly clean; a home from home. We live to sit on our quiet balcony and watch the world outside. The breakfast is exceptional and the staff always so friendly and helpful. We would not stay anywhere else.

Spotlessly clean and comfortable room, everything was great except the huge queues for breakfast. Fantastic walk along the coast path with a lovely café and lots of transport links - a lovely place to stay.

good breakfast, nice and quiet

The front desk staff were all helpful and attentive. The breakfast had a large selection of food though it rarely varied. The rooftop bar opened for the season while we were there and it was extremely nice with a nice selection. Bartenders went out of their way to accommodate our group and was much appreciated. One minor negative we had was that in our sauna suite it took a long time for the sauna to get up to temperature. One huge positive was Anni from the front desk. She took time from her day to explain the Finnish May day to us including the graduation hats and share some traditional treats. She is awesome. Thanks for a great week.

Staff friendly, breakfast good, rooms are new and comfortable. Not a luxury hotel but excellent for mid tier type.

Very clean and great facilities and location

Loved Hotel Matts so much! Highly recommend. Stayed in the Apartment side and it was wonderful, so spacious, so quiet, but also felt like home because you have a kitchen and laundry. The room was spotless, staff was lovely, and the on site restaurant Freja was so amazing. We ate there almost every night our last week and it was consistently so good. The apartment side is like having an Airbnb but much better because you get the perks of staying in a hotel, like 24 hour staff, onsite restaurant, and sauna. I extended my stay multiple times, and each time, the staff had my keys ready to go with a smile. It was really nice because in most hotels there's always a huge disconnect with extending the room, so I greatly appreciated their efforts. They even left a handwritten birthday card for me in my room when I arrived. I would absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking at somewhere really nice to stay in Espoo, especially the proximity to the mall, Iso Omena, is so convenient to get groceries and go shopping. The only negative was the bed pillows. They are really not up to hotel standard and should be replaced with a higher quality pillow. But other than that, I cannot recommend Hotel Matts enough.
