Unfortunately I arrived in the evening, restaurant was closed, bar was closed at 10pm on Saturday night. Room was so hot, window closed, no fan in a Heatwave! Tv did not work and kettle was dodgy only 2 tea etc of everything, one day room was not cleaned at all, breakfast was average.

Booked in for 3 day visit, reception undermanned,,very dated, stair carpet thread bare, begining to think oops made a mistake.Entered my room the curtain was hanging off,the lampshades were stained and it was like sitting in a sauna, no aircon or fan. Asked for a refund and booked into another hotel.Good point was that they had no issue with the refund.Also if you book through a third party it's £18 a day parking. Hotel well situated, but not for me.

Nice room and location for the hotel. It was close to a lot of sites around Cambridge. We were there during a heat wave and the rooms had no air conditioning which made things super uncomfortable for sleeping.

Nice hotel, great location

Good reliable British hotel just outside the university area. Several restaurants within walking distance. Place is old but relatively well maintained. There is a bar and restaurant on the premises.

Check in was ok but ive never had to put a deposit down before being able to access my room

The only issue we experienced was the number of steps to get to the reception area. Once we had registered access to the restaurant was on one level with our room. The breakfast was great and the evening meals were very good.

Dirty room, old soap left in bathroom, terribly understaffed, poor breakfast, no air con. Will not return.

Very disappointing experience. They forgot about me during the check in process. Carpet was thread bare n dirty in my room. And though I requested a lower floor room, I ended up on the 3rd Floor. The gentleman at the desk was very nice to help me up the stairs with my luggage though. The real issue was that the temperature in Cambridge was mid 80s. And there was no fan in the hotel to be found. How much does it cost to buy a fan for each room in a hotel??? Cold coffee at the continental breakfast. I couldn’t wait to get out of that hotel

Very poor reception staff. In a week that was the hottest on record they put me in the attic room and after requesting to move they suggest I was too hot from climbing the stairs. Requested a fan that was only given on the final day. Room they recoated me to had very poor ventilation. Do not stay in hot weather. Very poor staff service would not recommend. Plenty of other places in Cambridge that provide the minimum level of customer service.
