We stayed two days there. Staff was perfect to help us. Breakfast menu was excellent for us. We were really happy to stay at Sintra because of their kind help.

Best staff. The owners were so friendly and kind. We couldn’t have had a better stay. Very clean and breakfast was good. Great location.

A wonderful hotel. Bernardo and is son were extremely helpful and solicitous. They had the best breakfast spread we saw on our trip. The location was also great. It was an easy walk to the Palácio National da Sintra (we are mid seventies). The following day we took a short Uber ride to the Palacio National da Pena and then walked to the Castelo dos Mouros. From there it was only a 30 minute walk back to the hotel. Bernardo's restaurant recommendations were also excellent. There is a very nice terrace with views of the palaces on the mountain. There is no car parking at the hotel but there is free public parking a five minute walk from the hotel. Note: we arrived at about 2pm on a week day. The parking lot was crammed but I found a place. On the weekend, it was mostly empty. It appears to be used by working locals. One photo is the hotel from the Moorish castle and the other is the Moorish Castle from the hotel veranda.

Hotel Nova Sintra is a gem 💎 We felt right at home for our entire stay (1 Week). Rui is such an amazing host. The rooms are clean, comfortable and modern, the free breakfast is delicious with a full variety of foods to pick from. The hotel has a lovely outdoor terrace that overlooks at the mountains and castle. It is perfectly located to explore by foot the city of Sintra. Also, short ride to Cascais and even Lisbon by train. We highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is conveniently located few minutes away from train station and city bus stations. Room was very quiet and clean. Manager Rui was very friendly and helpful. Free breakfast was a big plus, We stayed 2nights, highly recommended.

Great location!

This property is not shiny and new (it’s an old building) and its rooms may be small but it’s a wonderful place to stay. The father and son Team (and others) are razor focussed on hospitality and do an amazing job. The breakfast was wonderful with a lot of choice. Good bed comfortable pillows and bedding. We would recommend to anyone visiting Sintra.

Very attentive staff, clean room, delicious breakfast.

Wonderful family run hotel in a great location right in the heart of Sintra. Peaceful and relaxing, the owners go above and beyond to make your stay the best possible. There is no parking onsite but it is available about 200 metres away or a 2 minute walk. The hotel property is not for people with mobility issues as there are 30 steps to go up to the hotel entrance. We loved this hotel and staff and would highly recommend.

What a gem. Beautiful setting and grounds, and the perfect blend of a little bit vintage with great updates. (Rainfall shower heads! ) Rue and his son went above and beyond to make me comfortable. Early check in when I arrived , no problem. When I came in out of the rain, they put my clothes in the dryer. I had an early departure , they arranged a taxi for me and made me a sandwich to take as I left before breakfast was served . Lovely hotel and lovely people .
