Everything was perfect. Highly recommend this hotel. Staff was very accommodating. They even delivered a boxed breakfast at 3 AM so we could be on our way to the airport. Just an amazing experience.

Expensive for old hotel

Big bathroom, detailed room design/style, very cordial and helpful staff, ecxellent food

Location, service and the rooms.

The Casa Gangotena was perfection! The hotel itself is beautiful and the staff was gracious and attentive. We stayed in a very comfortable, large room with a spectacular view of the Plaza de San Francisco. We enjoyed breakfast and a wonderful dinner at the hotel and loved that the menu included local cuisine. Plus, the prices were reasonable - we would have easily paid twice as much at home for a meal of the same caliber. You also shouldn't miss a late afternoon cocktail on the rooftop!

Wonderful historic property that has been updated and has both warmth and style. The staff pampered my family and introduced us to Ecuadorian new year traditions on the rooftop terrace with the other guests that was a memorable and unexpected way to ring in the new year. The restaurant is a fabulous showcase of Ecuadorian cuisine and excellent cocktails and fine wine. First class in every respect. I recommend without reservation.
