V large spot, modern, clean - would definitely revisit.

The rooms and service were exceptional. I highly recommend Kempinski Residences Guangzhou to anyone visiting the city. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Guangzhou.

The room was a studio-type condo, with a kitchenette that came complete with an oven and a spacious ref/freezer. I didn't have much use for them though, but the layout of the room was really great. I also liked that there were many cabinets (some hidden like posts) so I had no problem where to put things. I wish the bathroom had dual sinks like at most Kempinski hotels I've stayed at, but it's not really a deal breaker. But the room was very clean and amenities replenished daily. It was not stingy with bottled water, and in fact, canned drinks inside the ref were free for the 1st day. I wish there was a coffee machine like most 5-star hotels do these days. There was construction ongoing just across the hotel at this time, so when I went back to the hotel for a midday rest, one can hear drilling and other noises construction equipment make. This also caused traffic and some inconvenience when hailing a Didi ride as most of the drivers don't stop right in front of the hotel. Breakfast was decent but I've had bigger spreads in Kempinski Xiamen that showcased more local food. Overall, I was very happy and would still recommend this hotel.

Well priced. A little dated

So maybe the 4 star is unfair but the only reason it’s4 and not 5 is mainly attributable to the ongoing construction adjacent to the hotel where construction was ongoing 24 hours a day and noisy work is reserved for night time! Yes, night time! I stayed at this hotel for a few weeks straight and did not get one night restful sleep because of the extremely loud noise and vibrations. Construction is supposed to be complete by 2028, so I caution travelers to call the hotel directly ahead and ask them about the completion of the construction work. If the work is not complete, I’d only stay there if you’re a heavy sleeper or day time sleeper. Other then that, the hotel is excellent!

Great hotel. Wonderful breakfast. Very clean suite style room. Used spa hot tub and was very nice
