Excellent for the cost and close to everything!

Just across the road from Waverley train station. Elevator available Excellent breakfast available from bar across the road

It’s a backpackers hotel with tons of young people but also a lot of oldies like us. We booked one of the private rooms with an ensuite bathroom that included sheets and towels so we were fine with that. They have a locker room to store your luggage if you arrive before the 3 pm which they are very strict about. It was a dumb system for checkin because everyone had to stand in a long line when checkin started. Also I had done the pre-checkin online “to save time” but they made me present our passports anyway. Breakfast was a madhouse with all the young people but there were adequate continental items. The location is the main reason we picked it. It’s right next to the train station.

Helpful Staff and generally well situated

The room was too small for 6 people. No space to even open our luggage. We had 2 (3 people) bunk beds in a tiny room. Not comfortable at all.

Good, but could be better. It’s ok if you’re staying only one or two nights

If you dont mind sharing a dorm...this is the perfect place to spend the night after walking round the beautiful city of Edinburgh. A bed bathroom,shower,locker for your belongings....the breakfast across the road in Belushi's You want to visit Edinburgh on a budget I would highly recommend here. I will be back ...for longer next time.
