The best part of the rental was the location. It was perfectly situated just outside of the city wall and close enough to the train station to walk with my bag. When I arrived I was greeted with a gruff manager who seemed only mildly interested that I had arrived. She started the paperwork for my rental and then told me how much I owed on the room. When I indicated that I had paid in advance she flatly denied it. No, no, no and tried to prove that to me be showing me her computer screen. As it turned out she was not even aware of my arrival and I guess the presumed that I had just arrived without a reservation. After some stressful moments, she began a search while criticizing Expedia - not VRBO -about the difficulty in getting reservations processed. I was not aware that Expedia was involved in the rental process. The room was nice and was exactly like in the photos. I only had time to stay one night over the weekend and was hoping to have a place to keep my bag during the day on Sunday so that I could explore Siena with hauling my suitcase. The manager was hostile about me leaving directly at 10 and only after pleading she said that I could keep my bag outside the main entrance until 1;00 but not any later. She had work to do and could not be troubled with opening the door after 1. So instead of having a full day in Siena I had to return at one in the afternoon for my bags which greatly limited the sight seeing I could do on Sunday before I left in the evening. It was greatly disappointing. My overall perception was that she was not that interested in having guests stay at Alfredo's casa.

Beautiful bed and breakfast run by a lovely family. Was perfect for a nice quiet stay for 2-3days after the crowds in Florence. Love the dog

Nice old building but needed some love. Room was clean and wifi good. Location good (just outside city wall). External private bathroom.

The family is very nice and friendly. Place is convenient to the historical center and the train station.

The accommodation was comfortable, clean and convenient. The peeps were welcoming and friendly. Would recommend.

Better than expected. Perfect spot near the train station and the old city. Good breakfast with a lot of variaty.

Very well placed location and nice room. We’ve been there with two kids and had a room with three separated bedroom which were all clean and nice. The breakfast is fully handmade. I really recommend this place if you have to stp by Siena.

It was ok. My room had a bathroom very close by supposedly exclusively to my room but people from other rooms kept using it which was not nice. They said free WiFi but WiFi hardly worked. Location was great though

Reception on arrival was awful you felt like a nuisance. Got bitten by some small critters in bed,bites over me and I actually saw them.

The temperature was unusually hot but the ceiling fan was great. It's a quiet location and the owners were also very welcoming and served an excellent breakfast.
