The room walls were stone since the building was approximately 14th century, creating a unique decor and atmosphere. The window shutters and double glazing ensured that outside noise was cancelled. The room had controllable air conditioning. The bathroom had a large shower with both drencher and hand held heads. All toiletries etc. were provided. The bed was firm and comfortable and there was sufficient cupboard space and lighting. The choice of both hot and cold breakfast was considerable, well prepared in a comfortable, homely dining room. All staff were brilliant, Ivona, Zoran, Jakov and Kika were friendly, helpful, respectful and spoke perfect English as did almost everybody in Split. The hotel was central in the old city and no more than ten minutes from any of the fabulous old palaces, archaeology, the seafront and restaurants. My wife and I would return to our hotel and Split in a heartbeat.

The staff was phenomenal.

Stayed 3 nights in Split’s Old City and loved it. The hotel was small - only 6 rooms - which made it feel personal and quiet. Staff were really helpful with recommendations and made check-in easy. > Location is perfect for walking and exploring the Old City. You’re right by Diocletian’s Palace, so everything is on your doorstep - great restaurants, shops, and the waterfront are all within a few minutes. > If you want to stay right in the heart of Split with friendly service, this is a great pick.

My stay was just okay in part because the hotel and I had a dispute about being overcharged. I am partly to blame as well as Expedia but let’s just say no kindness was shown to me. The hotel room was very cute but small (nice amenities including a robe and slippers). The bathroom did not have a curtain on the window which was odd and the door handle pulled out when shutting. The location is great but very loud (I stayed on a weekend). The breakfast area is quite nice and I was pleased with the offering. The male staff I encountered were quite nice and helpful (Christian and Jacob). The female staff and I did not see eye to eye. Such is life. For the price I would expect more. I would not stay there again nor would I recommend it. There are many other fine properties in Split.

We stayed @ Villa Split Heritage for 2 nights. It is in the middle of Old Town - so fantastic location. They provided all the necessary amenities. We enjoyed our breakfasts too. Need to mention Zoran, the front desk staff. He was incredibly helpful & friendly. He even helped us with our luggage to our car pick up point.

Great room. Our complaints would be that the bedding was not comfortable (pillows, mattress, blanket) and the location was noisy. Otherwise, everyone was helpful and the building was nicely finished. Breakfast was good, coffee machine was great. Room was beautiful.

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay! Zoran greeted us. He was super friendly and made sure we had all we needed, even carried our luggage up the stairs, and down for us. Yvonna was also gracious and accommodating. Loved the staff! Breakfast was delicious and had all the options one could want. Room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Also the location was perfect, close to everything! Highly recommend Villa Split!
