The hotel has air conditioning in common areas but not in the rooms or the restaurant. It will not frequently be required in our climate but should be bourne in mind if you are staying in hot weather.

Room was excessively hot, even with window open. Thankfully there was a fan. We got there an hour early and receptionist kept asking if we wanted an early check in, for £10, despite us already saying we were going to have lunch there and could wait! Food was good though and good location

First time stayed there. Excellent. There was a Polish lady on reception who was so helpful. Shes going on holiday as I didn't catch her bame

Just a bed for the night as I had an early morning train to catch. I stayed in a single bed room, quite compact. But the bed was very firm and extremely comfortable. The shower was incredible. Probably the most powerful shower I’ve ever had. Great way to wake myself up for a full day of travelling. The Garden Bar was pleasant to have a drink and snack. Can’t comment on the food as I didn’t have an evening meal or the breakfast.

Good overall, location, price

I wanted somewhere close to Piccadilly Station, so that I could catch an early train to the airport. This was clean, comfortable and very affordable. And a very short walk to the train station.

The staff at the reception desk were very nice. The pendulum is impressive.The room was as clean as it is possible for a room with an old and shabby carpet. Some of tje furniture looked old and ugly.

A miserable experience in a delapidated hotel.

Fabulous location. Staff were all amazing, they were welcoming and polite and helpful. Breakfast was really good, hot food was all piping hot and scrambled eggs made to order Sue was a superstar and nothing was to much trouble she was so helpful and congratulated all that had taken part in manchester marathon and engaged in conversation with them as well as cracking on with her job. Rooms are not the most modern but had everything you need and were clean, tidy and restocked each day. If I'm ever in Manchester again I would definitely stay.

Room was good for a solo traveler, small but efficiently arranged, had everything one needs. I liked that the window opened for fresh air. Simple and tasteful decor.
