Lovely location, friendly front desk, and a well-presented breakfast. That said, prospective guests should know that rooms have no air conditioning, and this is not mentioned anywhere in the listing. During my stay, I measured 35°C inside my bedroom at 1am while outside temperatures had already fallen below 30°C, making rest genuinely difficult and the conditions potentially hazardous. I contacted management, who apologized briefly but offered no solution. My suggestion to provide a cooling system went unanswered. Value for money is also a concern, I paid rates comparable to a higher Stars hotel, and the overall experience falls well short of what that price point should deliver. The positives are real, but transparency, responsiveness, and basic guest comfort matter: and all three were lacking here.

No Air conditioning. The room was too hot to sleep if day temperatures are 37C. I am not sure why Expedia lists it on the top even hot summer days.

This seems to be student accom that has been changed to a small basic tourist apartment. One half of the building is for students (campus) and the other is for tourists. As such it is functional without much ambiance. But it’s well located close to a tramline and metro. The main train line runs next to the building which is quite ugly but doesn’t really cause too much noise. And it is easy distance to explore the centre of Lyon and the historical old town. The local restaurants are good and small supermarket nearby. The Saone river with all the restaurant boats is a few blocks away. There are also a pile of homeless people just outside the front door living under the railway bridge on both sides of the street- lots of junk, very messy and a little intimidating when they have fights amongst themselves but they caused no harm to us. So overall not a great environment but an ok apartment a as d a beautiful city.

They accommodate 2 guests and provide one set of towels.

Lovely staff and nice room. Good location

Good simple stay, met all our needs without issue. Only thing that could be improved is the climate control. Unable to control room temp in room and found it cold during the day but then so hot at night we had to sleep with the windows wide open (in winter). Which is fine except for how loud the train is with windows open. Would have been nice to be able to set the temp to a nice constant temp ourselves.

Quite an ample size room , very comfortable . Not quite cleaned in bathroom. Although plenty of cooking equipment and catering stuff there was no tea or coffee to refresh ourselves and no cafe in the hotel . Breakfast was expensive but very nice . I think it could have been included in the price of the room

The property was good and well maintained but the homeless people camped nearby felt unsafe.

Great price for what’s on offer. Well located and close to public transport options. Parking was fantastic - secure underground and though a slope down, was totally fine for our lowered vehicle if you’re in a road trip.

Clean and comfortable room, nice staff, gym and swimming pool available but I didn’t make use of it as we were very tired. I loved the idea of checking out at 12:00. We love Odalys hotel and will visit again in near future.
