Ripped off on paying £15 per 24hours to use the car park. Received an email once I booked to say there was a charge for the car park but £15 is excessive. Will not stay again for this reason

Great hotel very close to York city center but when you add the £15 to park there other more cost effective alternatives. Did not have the option as needed to use charger overnight so was expensive mistake.

Friendly and helpful staff, excellent room and fantastic shower.

Great hotel, lovely staff. We were visiting family in York so didn’t need to use public transport, but there is a bus route outside to get into town. Clean tidy and comfortable bedrooms, beautiful gardens around the hotel. Would recommend and will be back again.

Staff are helpful and kind, and the property is very aesthetically pleasing. Super location for getting into the city easily. Though keep in mind it's an old building so the windows don't fully open, there's no AC and the fan they provide does absolutely nothing to cool you down...so with the warm weather be prepared to bake.

A lovely property for the price. It was a quick uber or about 30 mins walk into town. Breakfast was great.

Hotel is old so expect thin walls and creaky floors. The staff, although friendly, weren’t as attentive as they could have been. The EV chargers didn’t work, so we were stuck without a charge (one of the main reasons for selecting the hotel). When asking the staff about this, they were quite dismissive. A little disappointing. The restaurant has closed down. This was also something we were not expecting, but a nearby pub had good food, so that wasn’t so bad. Really good breakfast.

Such a lovely place to stay and even though they did not do a evening meal the pub a few mins walk was great

Lovely reception staff on checkin and checkout. Room comfortable. Will likely return.
