Very happy here. The hotel was very nice, with nice facilities outside as they have a restaurant onsite too. The room was spacious and comfortable, with the staff being exceptionally helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was also excellent with a very good selection of hot and cold items. The venue is around 10 minutes walk to the shops/bars/restaurants, and a further 10 minutes to the coast. Parking can be challenging sometimes, but here was fine - we easily found street parking, less than a minutes walk which they have vouchers for. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

Multiple houses with rooms set around the base hotel restaurant all within short walking distance. Gated parking extra £15 but worth it as ready to use. Can park at front of the hotel or on the street. Street parking spaces busy but did see quite a few available. Staff very good. Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms clean comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast and restaurant food very good. Decor with wallpaper, stained glass and chandeliers added a touch of luxury. Nothing really negative although some of the room fittings table top and bench seat were a bit worn. Was full the weds night we were there. Quiet location 2 minute walk from the new Southsea promenade. 11 minute walk through the backstreets to the Kings Theatre. Can book direct with the hotel but Trivago found me best rate with Expedia. Would definitely stay again.

Very disappointing. The mattress was terrible and the front desk was very unhelpful

Room was very clean and comfortable, staff were very helpful, friendly and attentive, cannot recommend this place highly enough. Will be staying again :-)

Gorgeous hotel with lovely, polite & enthusiastic staff! We were upgraded to a fabulous suite & the parking options were great. We loved this unique boutique hotel which has been decorated & designed with care & passion. Local transport was brilliant & Southsea is a hidden blossoming gem which we’ll be back to see next year! We will of course be checking back in to the Clarence or one of its sisters. Thank you for making our stay so memorable x

Although we were in one of the anexes, this hotel worked out well. Staff were always smiling and laughing with us. Dinning options with indoor, conservatory, outdoor covered and outdoor gave all the choices you could want .

This is not a traditional hotel, it is more like renting a room or an air BnB There were no facilities in the house, the reception, bar and restaurant were 3-4minute walk away. There were limited tea/coffee and water in the room, resulting in having to go to reception to request more cool water. The water is drinkable from the tap, but in the warm weather wasn’t particularly palatable. The room was clean and pleasant, if on the small size for what it was advertised as. The staff were friendly and helpful. We didn’t use the bar or restaurant due to their Location away from the room. I would not have chosen this hotel if I had been
