My wife and I stayed at Gateway Salalah overnight for a 0430 am flight departure (this is no typo). The room price was extremely low ($45) for two bedrooms each with a bathroom, a sitting room, and kitchenette, all in marble. Unfortunately, there are no English language channels on the TV. If you speak Arabic, you are in luck. If the hotel provides a quality mattress, it can double its price and remain a bargain. It was great when we needed it.
The manager went out of his way to accommodate us, even helping with our bags at 0200 am.
