Defo will not stay here again. Absolutely insane and time consuming check in method, no staff on site to help, air con did not work, bathroom fan did not work, bedside light did not work, seals around shower did not work, bathroom door handle did not work. Wardrobe door did not work. Beautiful collection of black damp mould in the shower cubicle and under the towel rail and signs of removal of it from under the air con unit. It seems a suite here consists of a bedroom, shower room and a small walk in cupboard that house an unusable wardrobe that has the top corner sawn off so it fits the space. I know space is at a premium in Venice but this tiny area does not qualify as a suite. The 2 chairs were arse numbing to sit on. Luckily only stayed one night and spent as little time there as possible. If you do decide to stay here and get the San Marco “suite”, have a look behind the chest in the bedroom and see if the broken air freshener is still there. Presumably it was meant to hide the damp smell? View was great, balcony not big / stable enough to sit on. Linen was clean and fresh. Place needs a massive renovation but, being Venice, they know they don’t have to. Feels like they’ve taken that sentiment to the max. Unbelievably disappointed in this place.

Located at a water bus stop, made it super convenient for getting to and from.

Other than being centrally located, this place was bad in every way. I am generally a positive person, but this “hotel” was one of the worst I’ve stayed in. First of all, the check-in was difficult and confusing and needed a lot of communication before hand to figure out how to get in. The property manager said we had to check in by 11 as they would let us in remotely (there’s no one on site) then we would get keys after that. When we got in there were no keys and the manager said they would let us in each time we needed it. This was fine until the second night when we had to ring the bell for ten minutes and send multiple whatsapp messages before we got in. We decided to check out early with our bags in fear of not being able to get to them later. Inside, was very old and dirty and the headboard of the main bed was covered with mysterious stains. The bathroom was in the basement and the shower could not be left on for more than 3 minutes without a risk of flooding. Also the door to the bathroom locked itself when it was closed once and we had difficulty getting it unlocked from the outside. The creepiest part was the holes in the wall that are covered mostly by mesh wire that had some where the mesh was broken and all you could see through them was darkness, possibly another basement area and overall very unsettling. Would not recommend staying here at all unless you really need to save money or you’re just stopping by for night and even then, it’s probably not worth it.

This place is a great location right by the water taxi, easy to walk to anywhere. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. So much history it was so great to stay there.

They property did not inform me on advance that it was a remote check in. Had I not called the local number (international long distance rate for me) I would have not been able to access the hotel.

The room location was great. The room didn’t seem clean, when you flushed the toilet, brown water was immediately coming up from the sink. Thin comforter that looked over used.

Wifi kept going out and some doors were tough to keep closed. Bathroom door had to be propped closed

The room was filthy, they have bed bugs. The information stated daily housekeeping was to happen. Which later we found out that it is not and you have to pay extra. The location is great but the cleanliness is terrible

We enjoyed our stay of four nights. Getting into the room was a little difficult but once we were in the staff was very responsive to our needs.

We loved our stay here! Being right on the water really was such a treat and we’re glad we chose this location. The property is great and well maintained. Our room was good, I will say it felt a bit dusty and damp (the bathroom especially felt damp, and there was some mold around the shower) however I think this may just be part of living in Venice and living right near the water. This did not actually detract too much from our enjoyment of our stay! It was comfortable and had all that we needed for a great stay. The location itself is pretty good too I’d say because it’s almost equal distance from the train station and the city centre.
