Very nice hotel and the staff are very friendly and helpful providing recommendations for nearby activities and restaurants. We also enjoyed an excellent breakfast at the hotel's cafe.

Lovely appointed hotel at the quiet end of The Esplanade closer to the airport. The front rooms are well appointed, but located directly above the restaurant so be prepared for noise. The nearby hospital (chopper) also adds to the noise. The staff were very helpful with luggage as there are no lifts. We felt the room was given a basic clean from the previous occupants because we were only staying one night. The floor was dirty and sticky and amenities not topped up. That said, the bathroom was fabulous and worth the stay. It was the weekend of the Ironman Competition and the staff had no knowledge of the road closures or parking, which was unfortunate and unhelpful. The coffee from the downstairs restaurant was very well made. The hotel has ‘sister’ restaurants and you get discounts as guests.

A/C was great . No ocean view from our room but great views from the restaurant.

The staff at the Floriana Boutique Hotel went out of their way to show us compassion and provide help and support when a medical emergency necessitated special consideration. Their response was outstanding and we are incredibly impressed. We enjoyed the on site restaurant and the rooms were very comfortable and attractive. We highly recommend the Floriana Boutique Hotel for its personal attention to detail and guests. We have not stayed in many other hotels that have offered such impressive staff.

My favourite place to stay when I need to come in to the city for business or an early morning flight. Have stayed several times and they never disappoint. Food in the restaurant is wonderful and it’s always an “feel good” factor to support small local business over a big chain brand.

We stayed in two different rooms at Floriana during our trip to Cairns. While both rooms were clean, the condition of the property was great, and we enjoyed our stay, do make sure you know which room you are booking. Our first booking was in a fabulous room which overlooked the promenade, while our second booking was in a much smaller ground-floor room without adequate blackout curtains to ensure the exterior light didn't disrupt our sleep (the curtains do not extend across the window panels in the door). Staff were very accommodating and helpful in this regard - but this issue needs to be addressed ASAP.
