What a quiet little haven to return to after a busy day out on the town! It was lovely sipping a cup of coffee outside our upstairs apartment in the morning and looking out into the lush greenery of the quiet courtyard! The apartment was impeccably clean, stylish and had a well equipped kitchen. As we were traveling for more than 3 weeks we also appreciated the opportunity to do laundry on site. Penny supermarket is right across the street. Negatives: Our younger kids didn't like the neighborhood with sometimes garbage and broken glass lying around in the streets. Overall, a great accommodation and we strongly recommend!

I had an excellent stay at this property during a short business trip. My apartment was spotless, very modern, and had a minimalist style that still provided everything I needed. The setup was thoughtfully designed, with all the essentials readily available. Check-in was smooth, and the service was efficient, making it ideal for business travellers on tight schedules. I’ll definitely be booking here again on my next visit!

Lovely little apartments, nice, clean tidy and quiet, wouldnt even know you were in the city.

Very nice boutique type of hotel in a very vibrant neighborhood. Convenient to most any place we wanted to go. The staff was nice and helpful.

The Boarding House was lovely with a beautiful garden courtyard, clean modern décor and many amenities including small kitchen, well appointed bath and free laundry.

We booked a garden apartment and then sent an email to ask if we could have the apartment on ground floor. The staff replied it was no problem. When we arrived we realized they changed then to a non-garden apartment and when we complained they said it was now fully booked. Whereas the garden apartment had direct access to a veranda and a stair leading to the garden, we got had no door leading outdoors, and the view was into a corner of an overgrown backyard that no-one could access. So a big disappointment. The layout of the apartment was not good, with the bedroom being bright and nice with two big windows, but the living room dark and only a very small window. Not a nice place for meals. The kitchen and bathroon was like two corridors between the rooms so it felt very separated and small. The style was nice and it was clean. I would come back if I was guaranteed an apartment facing the garden (and I think also the apartments with balcony would be nice but didn't suit us as we had a pram). There was a problem with the TV and when mentioning to the staff they suggested a few things that we tried, but it didn't work and the staff just replied that then they don't know and made no further efforts to solve it. Otherwise the staff was friendly.

Great reception and apartment conditions! We will look to stay here first for all of our visits to beautiful Hamburg!

We really loved the accommodation and would definitely go back should we ever return to Hamburg. The service was brilliant, the apartment was of a high standard and the local area was perfect for what we were looking for. I definitely reccomend it. It's a little out of town (around 25mins walk) and all the better for it. There were plenty of bars, restaurants and shops, lively on the Saturday and more chilled on the Sunday.

Great stay, lovely building, very good location in Hamburg, staff very friendly, would stay here again.

It would give it five stars except the heating wasn’t working but I am sure that isn’t usually the case. The shower is basic and l think atleast a rainfall type shower would be better. Also it is located down a dark alleyway which l think should be lit at night. Absolutely fine during the day but at night it is really dark and if l was by myself I wouldn’t have felt comfortable. I’m sure it’s a safe area but it feels a little strange walking through darkness and hoping it was safe. But the room itself is spacious, clean, well appointed and comfortable.
