Great location. Small hotel with very small rooms unless you get the few standard corner rooms which luckily we had. Cafe Nero is next door for breakfast. You have to request housekeeping. The room had a queen size bed with a very hard mattress. Cute window bump out overlooking Mass street.. but only one arm chair for some reason..? So we had to take turns to sit and read! lol bathroom is very nice and spacious.

Hotel 1868 is very comfortable and gives good value for the price. The room was compact but well-designed and equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay.

Nice property. The room was clean and modern. We arrived about an hour and a half before check in. Our room was ready so they let us check in without us having to ask.

I had a complaint at the very end of my stay. It was about 30 minutes before checkout and I was sitting in the room before leaving and an employee entered without knocking saw me and left. When I opened the door and confronted the male employee (there was a female employee there too), I asked what was going on, I hadn't checked out yet, I was told "it's ok". I assured both of them that it sure wasn't ok at all (the door still had that DND sign on the door). I was extremely uncomfortable, less uncomfortable than I would have been at 3 am. I mentioned it at checkout and they said they would talk to them. Otherwise, my stay was fine. Clean room, good bed, TV worked fine and the location was convenient.
