Very attentive staff, and a clean, serene hotel. Good food options on site, and easy to get to busier locations. Would highly recommend the elephant safari. Massage was great too! Nice, big gym which was always empty - has a bench and most machines you need for a good workout.

A lovely hotel close to Sigiriya rock. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was large, comfortable and clean.
We went to the Sri Lankan restaurant and this was a nice experience that was more like you had gone to someone’s house for dinner. No menu, but the chef was a local lady who came around with the wait staff to serve you. Lots of food that was all very tasty.

When we arrived the hotel didn’t have my hooking despite me having a booking reference and the booking being made three months prior. They took ages to sort it out.
The manager was obsequious to my partner and ignored me completely.
The hotel is lovely but was spoiled by a large group of cyclists staying who were disruptive and noisy in the beautiful hotel.

We enjoyed our time at Aliya. The pool was lovely. Only downside is that the staff were nice, but not as welcoming as the other resorts we stayed at in Sri Lanka
