First up, the hotel is in a mobile signal black hole, Add to that, their wifi signals are weak and keeps dropping in and out (a known issue as acknowledged by management). There is only free to air TV channels as well. So, if you're fine with a total internet and phone black out during your stay, then this place is fine. The property is pretty old and dirty (loads of birds droppings throughout). However, the rooms are clean albeit old. There are no USB ports. On the plus side, they are very spacious. We got the 2 bedroom unit and it contained a very large dining and living room with kitchen facilities. The beds were fine and overall our stay was comfortable. The Manager was very helpful and kind which made the stay more bearable. We checked out early as we do need wifi to do some work during the day. Note there is free parking onsite and the hotel is only a short walk to the main street which was convenient.

It’s very local to Montville and the layout is fantastic. The only thing that let it down for us was the shower drain was full of hair so the water didn’t drain away. But I am sure it will be fixed by now. Definitely worth staying at.

Like others have said , it’s tired. It’s not really worth the money sadly.

Absolutely divine , pure luxury with an amazing view from the gorgeous big spa bath .

This place has all the aspects that could make it a winner. It's in a great spot, it has a nice distillery behind it, and it's a walk to town. Unfortunately the management is letting this place go big time. Mouldy windows, mouldy shower, big brown stains on blankets, unusable wifi, general maintenance and cleaning seems non existent. The tiled floors we gross sticky also. It's barely three stars, we never saw a staff member the entire time for check-in or out either.

Awesome spot for a weekend away. The room was clean, comfortable and the views were incredible. The spa was a standout and made it easy to relax and switch off. The whole place had a peaceful vibe and felt nice and private. Parking was easy, the staff were lovely, and the location was perfect for checking out Montville. My girlfriend absolutely loved it and honestly neither of us wanted to leave. We'd definitely stay again.

The view wasn't as shown in the room photos. The restaurant was closed all weekend and we weren't told that when we booked. The internet was patchy at best. The best part was the gin distillery next door.

The property is at a great location, only a short walk to the town shops. The room we stayed in was on the lower floor. We found it still had a great view and was very comfortable. The cleanliness of the room was great. All condiments were in the room when we arrived and topped up when the room was serviced. The gas fireplace and the spa bath were also wonderful features. Great value for your money.
