Superb hotel. Staff were lovely and couldn't have been more helpful. Will definitely stay again. Dog friendly was a plus for us and location was easy to find. Thanks for a great stay.

The hotel grounds and rooms are very neat and tidy but the rooms are bare and show signs of water intrusion, water collecting bucket in the corridor is a recent sign of ingress. The dinning room and breakfast was very pleasant with the usual good breakfast fare.
They now run a self check in and out system which is very cold and unwelcoming as you don’t have the personal touch

No staff at check in as desk is no longer in use self check in in the bar area. They appear to have events most Fridays and Saturday evenings so some party sound until late but quiet during the night. A few loud guests banging on doors prior to midnight, but quite after midnight.
It’s a different quieter atmosphere at breakfast with good availability of the usual breakfast fare.

Lovely staff, lovely room, pay for the Robert.... room - fabulous space!
Feature bath and separate shower, comfy bed, luxurious.
Breakfast was similarly excellent, more lovely staff!
