The accommodation was very good all round. The bar staff and waiter service in the casino itself needs improvement. Behind the bar was ordinary and appears some staff did not want to be there.

Had a great stay. Top restaurants. Top views. Great staff. Comfy bed.brill pillows. 40 years old still got it.

Hallway smelt damp, carpet was old, loose and stained, wall outside room was literally falling apart and hanging out clearly from excessive water damage. Room felt dirty, stains on built in couch and decorative covers on the end of the bed, all wine glasses in the room were visibly dirty - clearly had been wiped out with a dirty rag. When checking in the front desk agent told me ‘we’ve just upgraded the room you booked to an executive room’ I didn’t ask for this … and the room certainly wasn’t an upgrade - it was old, musty and dirty. Do not recommend staying here … it certainly was not worth $340 per night. Disappointed.

Room was very Clean .. Staff were very friendly and professional..

The pool was lovely, and the breakfast was delicious.

This hotel is not quite what is was and has gone from exceptional to ‘has room for improvement’. Examples. A swim up bar should not be cans and slushies only. The bar should be manned by trained and friendly staff. Breakfast doesn’t need to be the overpriced buffet it currently is. Ala carte will be better for everyone. I could keep going - I will be back - Townsville doesn’t have a great deal of competition.

Loved our stay. Highly recommend.
