Booked room facing the dock. Large spacious room with great views and handily on the same floor as reception and breakfast area (2nd). Particularly good as husband walks slowly with a stick. Lift close by too. Breakfast the usual buffet and queue by the toast machine. As it’s an old building there is no air conditioning but windows did open and room supplied with a portable fan to keep cool through some of the hottest days they’ve had. Bathroom adequate but shower lethally slippery even when we got a ‘non slip mat’ aka paper sheet, so laid a towel on the shower floor. As hubby was getting in the shower one evening the fire alarm sounded. He insisted on dressing before we headed down many many flights of stairs which took ages. Just in time to find everyone going back in and being told it was false alarm. But no one asked our room number so I wondered if they ever check if everyone is out of the building in a real emergency. However all in all our stay was good (3 nights) near to many attractions and shops and staff pleasant and helpful. You get what you pay for.

It was a good central place to stay .Staff were helpful and pleasant .

Staff were amazing, room was not, problem with toilet and no aircon. The staff were so friendly and helpful moving us to a different room but overall experience not great, didn’t sleep well.

The reception was quick and efficient. Very thorough. Well appointed good size room. Clean and well maintained. A complimentary breakfast is included in the price and is excellent quality. The staff are friendly and helpful. I always stay here when in Liverpool.

Thank you to cleaners for clean room. Warm welcome from staff on reception. May I particularly mention Sophie on reception who was on duty at breakfast the next day. My husband had been a little ‘under the weather’ on check in (Sea sickness!). Both girls asked if we wanted anything to help and at breakfast the first thing Sophie asked was, ‘How are you feeling today?’ I was astounded that she remembered the night before and was touched by her genuine concern. So - full marks to Sophie. I hope IHG will recognise her in some way. Great choice for breakfast. Convenient for Royal Albert Dock and Pier Head. An all round fabulous stay in the wonderful city of Liverpool. We really couldn’t fault anything. Thank you to all concerned.

We really enjoyed our stay, The location of the hotel right on the Waterfront on the corner of the Albert Dock was perfect. The staff, from check-in to the breakfast staff, were all friendly and welcoming and our room was comfortable and quiet.

Excellent location. Fantastic breakfast too.
