We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Lost Iguana Resort. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful, especially Charlie who was our bellman. The breakfast buffet was incredible, a standout for sure. Staff in the restaurant were great, too. Our kids liked the pools, though the lower pool was very cold, too cold for me to enjoy. The hot upper pool was nice and hot! Our room was clean and the high ceilings made it feel bigger than it was. Our patio was very private and peaceful. We saw glimpses of the volcano from our patio, but only once saw it in full during our 5 night stay in July. The umbrellas provided by the hotel were clutch, definitely needed! They are numbered according to your room number. Unfortunately someone else took ours from the restaurant one night, but the staff brought them back to our room without us even requesting. I would’ve liked to use the gym in the morning, but it didn’t open until 10am - too late, we were already on to our adventures then. Our family really enjoyed the Puma Trek as well. It was a great length and we never saw anyone else on the trail! The location was a little farther from the main area, and my daughter got carsick on the windy roads. We generally prefer more secluded places, but next time we might opt for something closer to more restaurants.

The property is amazing. There are opportunities to see tons of wildlife just from your room or just walking around the trail and even just on the way to the restaurant. The staff were extremely approachable, helpful, and went out of their way to make sure I was having a good time. I came for wildlife photography and many of the staff often pointed out different birds to me and even took me to their favorite spots on the property for wildlife viewing. The concierge service via WhatsApp was also super helpful in booking stuff to do and arranging transportation. Really awesome stay, I was extremely impressed.

We had the most amazing stay at this property! We were absolutely impressed with everything from the courteous staff, the available transportation, the great dining experience, the stunning views, and the lovely and respectful philosophy of the property and its respect for nature and animals. Very close to mistico and tabacon which were the two excursions we explored during our short stay. Highly recommend this location to anyone passing through!!!

We had a Great time at the Lost Iguana. The rooms are simple but clean. The large balcony had an incredible view but could use better furniture for extended sitting and sightseeing birds. The included buffet breakfast was delicious! We had lots of fun watching the World Cup at the sports bar (food was good and happy hour drinks during the World Cup was appreciated)! The pool is too cold and the hot tub is too hot. Would be nice if they could adjust the heat on both. Overall a great stay - I would recommend:)

The beautiful terrace with handmade rocking chairs with views of the volcano, outdoor jacuzzi tub, friendly staff and delicious food!
