We loved this hotel. While it's not a classic 'on the beach' resort, beaches are close by and the overall setting is beautiful. We had one of the 'fire lanai' rooms which turned out to be a great choice. The staff was great too. Next time we go to Maui, we plan to stay here again!

Property is so old and the room was so unclean. Walls and cabinets and floor was really dirty. The Ritz Carlton is not what I thought it would be. Won’t go back

The stay was one of the worst I’ve experienced. On the day we arrived, there was an earthquake, and no one contacted us to check in or ensure our safety. The next day, there was a power outage that lasted about four hours. Because of that, the TV stopped working, and we were without it for two days. I called to have it reset, but no one came for over two hours, by which time we were already asleep. Our room wasn’t cleaned for two days, and we were told it was due to a lack of staff. It was also our wedding Monday, and despite sharing this information with the staff, we didn’t receive anything complimentary or any acknowledgment of the occasion.

We are frequent visitors to Kapalua and have always loved the Ritz Carlton. Everything there is superb and close to everything in Kapalua. It is a higher end stay for sure but worth every penny. Could give a higher recommendation!

It was a great vacation thanks to the friendly and kind staff. We will definitely return.

Our stay was wonderful,

Staff was pleasant, gym needs renovations and the food at the lobby cafe was limited and too many processed food options

Felt more like a Marriott than a Ritz. Hotel is okay, pool heater was out for the week, room was somewhat worn, AC was noisy. Not the same level of Ritz or Four Season's for the cost that I expect. Not a bad experience but not worth the cost compared to other 5 stars. I would not stay there again.

Very clean rooms. Good staff.
