Excellent location and being pet friendly was really helpful for us.

Its well placed in the centre of Greytown. And it has a very good heat pump and a very comfy bed. However....it is not a comfortable or easy motel to be in. The couch and kitchen chairs are heavy steel framed very hard and uncomfortable furniture. And....there is no sink or water facility in the kitchen area. There is only a microwave which is so high (obviously put in by a man) that it is dangerous to get hot food out of. It dudnt seem very hygenic to be washing dishes in the bathroom sink where you wash your teeth and hands. This motel was not cheap $500 for 2 nights and in my opinion doesnt meet approved hygene standards re the lack of washing facilities.

Booked 3 nights here as we were visiting friends in Greytown. The curtain by the entrance door was dirty on arrival . The room had an aircooler not an air-conditioning unit, which required regularly topping up with water and freezer packs and was noisy . A small bottle of milk was provided on arrival but a request for some additional milk the next day was met with directions to the Dairy or Supermarket. Having travelled extensively over many years this is the first time we have met with such penny pinching.Based on our experience with the noisy air cooler We wouldn't book here again or recommend .

Great location, easy walking all around Greytown from this spot, restaurants and shopping.

Greyfriars was an interesting property. The hotel is on the main street, yet it felt contained, safe and quiet. The unit had plenty of room for 4 and the kitchen was well-stocked. There were chairs on a covered front porch that we shared with one other unit. This is not a fancy hotel but it more than met our needs for an overnight stay. The room was clean and I felt safe. It’s a good property for travelers with children.

I think Greytown is fantastic and couldnt ask for a better place to stay than Greyfriars as they let our dog stay with us.
