The check-in experience was not satisfactory due to the unhelpful and unaccommodating demeanor of the staff. However, we were highly impressed with the amenities provided, and the breakfast attendant was exceptionally pleasant and accommodating, cheerfully informing us that breakfast was ready.

Really liked the location - it's on the upper end of knob hill which is probably one of the best spots in Portland to hang out. The area right around the hotel - ehh, not that great. But it's only across the street and down a block and there really aren't any other hotels any closer as far as we could tell. Breakfast is the usual Holiday Inn. They've got the pancake machine which the kids love, but I find them to be meh. Pool and hot tub were a hit - especially when it hit 90+ degrees outside. Could use better lighting inside the pool area though - kind of dark. Rooms were spacious. We got one on the end and it was borderline as big as my first apartment, but one giant room. Probably could have been divided into a bedroom. A little too much room, but no one complains about too much room. Vaughn street can be a bit loud. See if you can get a room on the other end or in the middle.

It is nice to see the start of remodeling. We have stayed for years and it is time for room remodels. The bathrooms are better so far. Breakfast and breakfast staff are wonderful. The M-F staff is amazing. She even opens up early for convenience. Front desk was also very helpful. Nice that the owner is around as well, showing his pride in ownership. Quiet, great location and easy access.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I think it was a good value to stay here especially because we could park our large truck in the lot for no extra charge. It is close to restaurants and shops on W 23rd. I’d stay here again.

Easy access from freeways. Clean room. Excellent service. Nice area.

Only one elevator - you need to be patient

The room, breakfast area and laundry rooms and the parking garage were all very clean. All Staff were courteous.

As soon as entered I was greeted. My check is was quick and the staff were very nice. The facility was very clean, as well as my room. Would definitely return.
