Great breakfast, comfortable stay, great location

Good breakfast & friendly staff

The Crowne Plaza in Harrogate had all the attributes you would expect of a top-class hotel, in terms of its rooms, facilities, services and so on, but what really distinguished it from similar hotels was the quality of its staff and their enthusiasm to do an excellent job. My comment applies to every staff member with whom I interacted during my week-long stay and includes: Zoltan who fixed up my room so well and so passionately, James who managed the hotel's excellent breakfast service with such passion, individuality and purpose, Mae and Gergana on the front desk and whose reception service was delivered with such care and thoughtfulness. These are just a few of the many who worked so hard every day to make this hotel such a superb place to stay. Thank you so much, I enjoyed every day and I will certainly return.

Tamas at breakfast and in lift, very courteous and excellent customer service. Check in staff are polite. Great to have aircon as well. Great location and clean rooms.

Lovely modern hotel in the heart of the town

The location of the hotel is excellent for Harrogate town The bus station snd rail station are in easy walking distance The breakfast was vsried We were seated punctually. The car park instructions weren’t very clear and caused a bit of confusion

Excellent location in the centre of town, plentiful breakfast. Only small gripe was cashless bar meaning had to return to room for a card.

I booked a premium room to spend the night for my birthday. Upon arrival at the hotel, I saw that there was only two disabled parking spaces outside of the hotel, both of which were taken. I asked my sister to go into reception to ask where the rest of the disabled parking was. She returned and told me that the staff member said we would just have to park downstairs. We went and found the carpark, which was an absolute nightmare. No disabled spaces to offer, huge concrete pillars and metal bars between each space. We saw another lady having to get her elderly, disabled mother out of the car into her mobility scooter in the middle of the carpark, because it wouldn’t have been possible once in a parking space. The long walk from the car to the reception really exhausted me and exacerbated my chronic illness. It was a terrible start to our stay. We got to our room and it was very hot. The fridge had food left in it from a previous guest. The beds were a good size, but probably the most uncomfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept in. Both the mattress and the pillows were hard and rigid, it was an awful nights sleep. We wanted to order room service for dinner. We tried ringing repeatedly for half an hour, with no one answering the phone. In the end I rang reception, the lady seemed very unsure of procedures (asking me to go to reception and pay for food when I had already pre-authorised my card) The food finally arrived and was very nice, but our whole stay was very disappointing.

Lovely stay. Was so quiet. Staff very attentive nothing to much trouble

The staff were amazing and did all they could to make it a special event - thank you
