Wendy at the bar was great. The gentleman that checked me in was too. I can’t remember his name. The room was clean and spacious, but could use a little more updating in the bathroom and a better refrigerator. The toilet was old and sat very low, the walls needed some repair, and the shower door did not close all the way. The water it was near was great, there was plenty of parking, and it was a nice quiet property.

I booked this hotel solely because I was told I would be able to watch the July 4th fireworks from my room. Before making the reservation, I specifically called the front desk and asked if the fireworks would be visible. I was assured they would be, so I booked with confidence. Also asked upon arrival and was told the same thing.
After checking into our 11th-floor room and waiting for the show, we couldn't see the fireworks at all. We paid for a room based on information the hotel provided, and that information was completely inaccurate.
This wasn't a misunderstanding on my part—it was misinformation from the hotel. If you don't know whether a room has a fireworks view, say so. Don't make promises that cause guests to spend hundreds of dollars expecting an experience they never receive.
The room itself was fine, but that isn't why we chose this hotel. We chose it because we were told we would have a view of the fireworks, and that promise was not kept. This was a very disappointing experience, and I hope management takes this seriously and trains staff to give accurate information instead of making assurances they can't guarantee.
I won't be trusting information from this hotel when making future reservations.
