Property very shabby and dirty. Food disgusting some looked like slops and cold. No first aid kit at resort or defib. Linen very old and worn. The housekeeping staff were helpful but front of desk very lazy. The laundry you wouldnt wash your cat in there.

Absolutely revolting. The food was inedible (with bugs in meals!). Pool slide didn't work half the time (many many kids ended up with split heads from this slide)No sauna as advertised. Only 1 restaurant open. Half the group had no water / no hot water. Very very slow service for drinks and food. The activities were also a let down. The tie dying we booked in for 5 days later as they needed supplies the morning of they still didn't have, once we were told it was good to go they still didn't have what we needed. The school tour is a 2km each way walk along the side of the main road, not ideal with small children!! The boat tour was terrifying, we weren't listened to when we asked if we could go back as it was dangerous conditions. The fire walking was the biggest let down, running across a main road in the dark to watch 4 men stand on 1 hot rock a couple of time, nothing like the fire walking entertainment ive experienced in fiji before. We love fiji but will never stay at Hideaway again.

Great especially if travelling with children, activities all day,& pool with slide well used. Staff very friendly & remember guests

It's location is good just off the highway, there was only one restaurant which was operating during our stay, I thought the price and the serving amount were way off, the portion were very small and price was very high, the kids menu remained the same throughout our stay so the kids started complaining about it, they had kids activities displayed on the board but nothing happened during our stay so we had to take them to explore other things, our room was located at the far end and I was abit uncomfortable staying out that way but nothing happened, when we checked out they charged us 70.00 fjd I asked whats that for the receptionist said its for the local school we were not informed about these charges ahead of our booking, so when you check out make sure you check your bill. The staff were friendly made us feel welcomed, the gardeners shared some coconuts with us. Overall it was a pleasant stay. Vinaka

Wonderful beach location. The bure was spacious, but dated. Staff are lovely and definitely make your stay more special. Be prepared for ‘Fiji time’ as things happen a bit more slowly. We loved that they partnered with a rescue group to help stray animals in the area.

Oceanfront villas were amazing. The resort facilities are tired but the staff were great.

Easy place to relax - welcoming staff, lots of onsite facilities (spa, activities, glass bottom boat trip, restaurant). Very family friendly.

We were 'very disappointed' with our Frangapani Room, the bathroom was horrible, looked dirty, grout was mouldy, there were stains on the paper thin duvet covers, no phone, a broken power point and the outdoor bath/shower was not inviting at all! A real shame!!

The staff is very helpful, when you can reach them. Some bookings were a little challenging & additional services a little delayed. We had a lovely time, and would recommend The Hideaway for families. As honeymooners, there were a few too many kids to allow for maximum relaxation. However, overall- a wonderful time was had!
