I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. My first encounter was with a young man at the front desk. Three questions were asked (with a smile on my face) and three unfriendly answers. I wasn't expecting this, but as we waited to check in, I watched the three young people never smile at approaching guests, including myself and my husband. When I finally was "allowed" to check in, I asked the young man if he was "always this pleasant" to which he replied "yes." Several incidents occurred after at the front desk which made me say to myself and several friends who are planning trips to Iceland, that this is a hotel that does not appreciate their guests and the LARGE amount of money spent on the room, Our plan was to see Iceland but my husband fell ill with a stomach bug and we ended up staying in the room. Again, the front desk, nor the restaurant were any help AT ALL with things that might have made him feel better. (NOT big requests, just some toast and tea or some soup) Nothing was available and we ended up spending a boatload of money at the refrigerated area near the front desk. Gatorade and bananas and chips was all they had to offer. We are both slightly disabled and there was no way to walk to a grocery store, which I never saw nearby. Needless to say, our disappointment with any assistance on any question was what left me sour about this particular hotel. Breakfast was a big joke for the price. All we ate was a banana and two pieces of toast. They need a menu!

Good location, clean, comfortable by Nordic standards, and quiet except for the construction site on one side of the hotel.

The hotel was clean and we liked the ambience. Worth buying the breakfast. I recommend it. The staff was very helpful. The only thing we didn’t like is the sulphuric smell in the shower and tap water. Also, don’t take exterior room. You can hear the noise on the road

We were disappointed in this hotel for the money we paid. They didn’t let us know beforehand that we’d have construction right outside our window that started at 7 am everyday. Also the shower had wads of hair on the wall. No ventilation in the room, so it made sleeping very difficult.

Very clean and neat.

This hotel did not do the cleaning every day. You have to put the service request first. Otherwise they will not do it.

Excellent hotel for our stay

Overall nice and clean hotel. Very modern and staff was nice. We originally booked atrium facing room, downside was that we got an “upgrade” which didn’t feel like one because the noise from the construction next door was very loud. The room size was nice however. We were told construction work was starting at 9am but it actually started at 8am. We didn’t get much sleep and it was the last leg of our trip. Besides that…. The lobby was very nice and the location is convenient. It was only a 5 min drive to the main town.
