Great hotel!

The location is excellent for access to Granville Island ferry, Yaletown, seawall walks along false creek or English Bay. There is a drug store and grocery store steps away. The rooftop bar is lovely. The staff is very friendly and willing to accommodate. I return regularly.

Great hotel, friendly and responsive staff, prime location.

The only great thing about this hotel is the location. It’s close to everything and it has a supermarket across the street. You can get anywhere in downtown within 15-20 minute walk. The room was spacious enough, but it was so worn out that the carpet on the floor needed to be changed at least 10 years ago. The people at the front desk are very sweet and helpful. However, our room was booked for 2 people, and yet we were only provided with one tiny bottle of water. Any other decent hotel provides you with complimentary two bottles of water and slippers. Are we supposed to fight over one little bottle of water? How much does it cost to just put two? Also, the bathroom baseboard was chipped and the part of the wall that held the magnifying mirror had a very big strange spot, as if there was something attached to it before, and after they removed it they just crudely painted over it without removing the spot completely. It did not look very appealing because of that dirty spot, it does not take a lot of effort to put some fresh paint on the wall to make it look nice and inviting. Overall, our stay was good but the rooms need a lot of improvement.

Room service was marginal, at best. Staff was reactive, not proactive. Rooftop is very nice but might be leased from the hotel.

Bad

The room was clean, and the beds and linens were comfortable.

The staff was wound full.

Very old room, not the same as shown in pictures. It says there’s an outdoor pool on Expedia, but there’s none. No valet or any staff at the gate, we couldn’t find parking and had to walk to the front desk to ask. Short of staff, no concierge or any staff after 9pm. Terrible experience

Staff are very courteous and polite. Room was clean enough but rather dusty. Our room was very noisy ( outside garbage trucks every morning banging about ) Breakfast could have been better, at least have cream for your coffee. 5 stars to all the staff.
