Be warned to expect $25 fee for parking. This was not spelled to us when it should have been. Restaurant/bar is closed except for breakfast. Dine-in room service was available but very poor. Lasagne was small and luke warm; pie looked and tasted as if been in warmer all day. Desserts were lovely. Elec jug needed replaced as was in a disgusting state. Replaced with new one very quickly.

We have stayed at the Kingsgate a number of times. We come back generally due to the price, breakfast and convenience. Breakfast seems to have changed from a full cooked breakfast to a continental breakfast. It was ok, but not what was being advertised. If you are a light sleeper take earplugs. The walls appear paper thin. We could hear the people in the room next door and know another group that actually asked to be moved. The area is central city, so late night party noises, cars and people are normal. Parking on site now costs $25 night, which while convenient seems an excessive cost. Carparks are also tight and on a hilly slope. It gets a pass mark, but nothing amazing.

Great room for the price including breakfast. Easy walk into the city.

Pretty average for the price. Whole place needs modernising, very dated and not well maintained. Breakfast was very average. House keeping was non existent. Cheeky to charge for parking. Very central with the city centre on the doorstep.

Central location within walking distance to centre of town. Good view of city from room. Great continental breakfast included with many choices

Be awear parking i $25 a nigjht It is not clear any where.at the end you will get a bill.

They said off street parking aas available but never indicated at anytime this would cost another $25. Poor communication

Very clean room with the most amazing bed. Breakfast included, and the staff were lovely and friendly.

Friendly staff, great breakfast! Hotel is a little dated but otherwise great!
