Nice room, but not a good view and staff was not accommodating. Breakfast, laundry, and onsen usage were all for absorbently high additional costs, not reasonable at all.

部屋のしつらえ、食事、スタッフの教育などのクオリティのわりに料金が高すぎる。1室900ドル支払ったが、日本人からすると200-300ドルくらいが妥当なライン。関西出身なので、料理は本当にがっかりした。

The room was beautiful the staff we're very professional and accommodating we had a very nice room with an in-room onsen/furo.

Room is clean n staffs are amazing great location

This hotel is truly like stepping into another world. The service is impeccable, the room we had was gorgeous and superbly clean. We were lucky enough to have a private onsen with very clean water at the perfect temperature on a lovely little lanai. All of the staff are very friendly and professional and the food is fantastic as well. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a touch of classic Japan in Kyoto!

Lovely property and fantastic service

This hotel was truly the highlight of our trip! My husband and I visited for our honeymoon and the staff went out of their way to upgrade us to the nicest suite in the hotel. This gesture was something we will never forget and made our trip beyond memorable. Special shout out to Nana, Aina, Mai and Yoshi for going the extra mile and making our experience that much more special and memorable. We will never forget this staff and the things they did to make us feel so special.

This may be the best hotel I've ever stayed at. The staff were amazing, the grounds were incredible! The private onsen was the highlight of my trip!

Absolutely beautiful hotel. What I love the most is the private onsen in the room. It's in a semi-open space (not in the room, but under a roof kind of in the back balcony). The private onsen refills itself, and temperature regulated. It was amazing. Beautiful scenery, excellent staff, exceptional breakfast.

Very beautiful hotel, staff was friendly, but wished they explained the amenities around the hotel. I had to figure it out myself by looking at other people’s reviews. Beverages at the mini bar fridge are not cold, wish it was colder, the drinks were lukewarm. I arrived earlier than check in time so decided to go to the cafe to grab a coffee, some staff said “no” and another said “yes, I can come in.” Super confusing and then it took forever for the waitress and the ordered coffee to arrive. The onsen in the room was amazing though.
