After staying at several other places in Stone Town, I found Princess Salme Inn to offer an excellent balance between price and value.

This hotel should be maybe 1 star , rooms are tiny , the power doesn’t stay on , on a 5 day stay we maybe got 5 words from reception . There was no communication that power was off and planned upon our arrival , the bed was the most uncomfortable thing I’ve ever slept on

O hotel é muito bem localizado, perto das coisas a pé, o atendimento é excelente! Recomendo.

I stayed here one night after landing in stone town. Perfect spot to nap on and off to get through the jet lag and be right in the heart of stone town. Extremely walkable to sites. The rooms are spacious, excellent shower and super comfy bed. Very clean and was just what I was looking for. Please note that it was a bit difficult to find. The taxi just dropped me off on the main road because cars can’t access the small streets. Once you know where it is, it’s super simple to return to

The place is amazing and you get the value for your money. The location is central, top notch and very excellent customer service. Would recommend over and over.

Feels home. Kind and very friendly people right among the locals. Great breakfast.

Very basic hotel. The bathroom didn’t work well. For the price it’s fine, but couldn’t stay longer than 1 night in this place.

Close to food market. Close to ferry. Safe. No loud musuc blasting. Privacy. Fantastic breakfast. Helpful eiyh taxi. Decebt price. Big room. No loud traffic at all.

This place was nice and cosy, just as stowntown should be.
