Gonville is conveniently situated and it is good that it has onsite parking. Nice bathroom and comfy bed. One set of towels found in cupboard. Would be good to have night mode for air con, as a bit noisy.

We had an ok stay, staff are excellent and rooms are clean.

The hotel was lovely, our room was amazing. The staff they had were very good, but unfortunately they were very short staffed and had agency staff that were useless. Our room was not serviced for 2 days.

3 problèmes la première chambre la clef ne fonctionnait pas, retour à la réception la 2e clef ne fonctionnait pas également! Un janitor est venu pour essayer de réparer il a resserrer les vis tenant la porte alors que le problème était électronique. Découragés nous sommes retournés à la réception et on nous a donné une nouvelle chambre. Dans celle-ci la climatisation ne fonctionnait pas mais elle a été réparée en 5 minutes, don en résumé plus ou moins une heure pour avoir une chambre correcte. Le lendemain matin le robinet d’eau chaude dans la douche ne fonctionnait pas!

Good location near city center and all with walking distance of main attractions, restaurants and shops. Hotel offers limited but expensive on-site parking. We had a superior double room which was a good size, clean and functional with most things you needed. Areas for improvement include the noise from live bands and DJ’s at wedding parties in the hotel both nights of our stay although generally quite after 11pm. Internet in room was poor - very slow to connect and access speed was so poor it wasn’t worth trying. Breakfast service was ok - nothing special

I have stayed in other pet friendly hotels but the room I stayed in just smelt like damp dog really badly. The check in was ridiculous, there was 1 person on check in, she was on the phone to a future guest for 20 minutes before we could check in - not her fault at all but other staff came to the desk and didn't help.

Staff were helpful and quick, a good number of EV charging bays were available and relatively easy to get going. Standard room was nice/clean and modern enough

The Gonville is well located for Cambridge. Staff are very friendly. Reuben on the front desk in particular. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Breakfast is a very good selection with many chef cooked options available. Furniture in the communal areas is tired, worn, and needs replacing but in general this is a very comfortable hotel.

From check in to check out the staff were helpful and friendly. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and were upgraded and welcomed to our room with rose petals and champagne! Breakfast choice was great, we picked off the to order menu. Easy walk into Cambridge. Definitely will stay again.

Property felt a bit soulless. It was a Monday. No food was being served - we were told we could order bar snacks but the bar wasn't staffed and there were no menus to be seen. Garden area was unkempt with weeds growing under tables, cigarettes butts lying around. could have been so pretty. a door to a staff room was propped open with evidence of someone's lunch. breakfast was good, but the roof leaked on us and we had to move tables. View from the widow showed the roof area above the dining room needed a good clean and paintwork was in need of refreshing. conditioner bottle in bathroom was empty. Either fill it or dont provide it ! It could have been a lovely hotel but attention to detail was sadly lacking. best bit was the Bentley tour. If only everything else matched that in terms of quality.
