Everything was good but the building is showing its age.

Unfortunately in my single room there was no side table and the floor is on a slope. But saying that , I managed and would certainly recommend this hotel,it's beautiful setting ,lovely breakfast, all the staff do an excel job , a lift to all floors . excellent!

A very nice hotel central to Harrogate and the surrounding countryside

We were allocated a huge room with a lovely sitting area - in great condition and very comfortable apart from the heat! It was in full afternoon sun and only 2 of the 4 sash windows would open at all, and the bathroom window was also seized. The electric fans did nothing to help! There was no bathroom blind at all, which might have helped to block some of the greenhouse effect.

The Hotel was not at all full, yet we were given a room at the back with no view. Not friendly. The pillows were very hard, making sleep difficult

Fabulous. Staff very attentive. Overall, it ticks all the boxes. Will stay again.

I found out room very shabby this time, we were at the back above the kitchens with scaffolding outside on the wall. There had obviously been a leak in the ceiling at some time and some efforts to patch it up weren't too great. The bathroom window had a crack in it so did the bedroom window. However this did not spoil our stay as the room and bathroom were very clean, the rest of the hotel was beautiful and the staff were lovely.

Our room had plenty of space iron/ironing board/hairdryer all provided as well as toiletries Plenty of choice for breakfast and a small but tasty menu in the evening I think there was maintenance work ongoing and the hotel does need a comprehensive overhaul Plenty of parking spaces but location is right in the centre and we didn’t use our car at all during the stay Stars of the break were the staff so friendly and helpful and always had a smile on their faces Thank you !

we were allowed the room 2 hrs early + dirty mark on bed cover(very off putting) - had a £10 drink added to our bar bill which we did't have!- discretionary % added to the bill which negates any saving going via expedia- attitude of staff not good on exit when negatives mentioned- will definitely wont book this hotel again or book with expedia without compensation !!!

The hotel is very well presented, in a good state of repair and has character. The staff were very helpful and pleasant, the room adequately large, confortable and clean. We also enjoyed the breakfast.
