極佳獨自入住
I had a great one night stay here.
The staff are very welcoming and clearly enjoy working there and interacting with guests.
The room is exactly as described, and it was very dark at night too.
The walls are very thin and sound travels easily especially from the room below, so it’s better to think of it as a dorm rather than a completely separate room.
I couldn’t join the Irori dinner as I arrived too late, but it was starting just as I was arriving, and it looked like a cosy experience connecting with other travellers.
The hostel had a sociable, but relaxed, vibe.
The kitchen was very well equipped too.
The location was quite easy to get to, a bus ride from Hakone station and walkable from Gora station.
I’d be happy to stay again if I’m back in Hakone.

極佳 The staff were brilliant and very welcoming especially to my two children, the place was beautiful, the evening meal was lovely and very unique. We really enjoyed our 1 night stay.

The staff were all really nice and helpful. Our room was very clean, with an incredibly comfortable bed. The bar has a lot of options. They also offer a shared dinner, up to 10 people per night, and that was a great experience with a great group of people. We would stay here again in the future!

We enjoyed our stay. Kira is a very friendly great hostess. We had dinner there. The experience was totally worth it. The service was excellent and interaction with people from other parts of the world was great.

Great location in terms of close to bus stop and train station. 2 min walk to the Open Air Museum. The community dinner is good. The only downside of this guesthouse is that the bathroom and rooms smelly really bad. They could easily fix this problem by using candles or incense.
