Lovely rooms. Gorgeous garden. Such an authentic experience staying above a pub. We felt part of the village by the end of our stay! Sam and her husband were incredible hosts and his food was exceptionally good! We’d go out of our way to stay here again.

Great place! Rooms are beautifully decorated, the BBQ food was gorgeous and the staff were brilliant. Highly recommend.

Obvious that operators were not keeping the property up to scratch

Difficult to review The New Inn and be absolutely fair. The pub is nice, and the two young ladies we dealt with were really pleasant and helpful. The evening meal was good value. The property, on the other hand, left much to be desired. Our room was really dirty, stains on the carpet, cobwebs, and thick with dust on the headboard. There was a patio area with our room, covered in last autumn’s leaves (we stayed 2nd August), and in the beer garden the tables and benches looked way past their best, a couple broken beyond use. We thought that perhaps many years ago, it was probably really nice, but now it is desperately in need of maintenance and proper cleaning. We stayed one night for an event at Stonor Park the next day, but we wouldn’t have wanted to think we had to stay a second night. I paid £90 for the room only, which I consider very poor value indeed.

No option for breakfast in the morning due to lack of staff. Unable to collect receipt as no staff present when leaving (8am)

The staff were friendly enough but the whole place is desperaty in need of a thorough make-over. Fairly comfortable but very basic. Very quiet though and in a lovely position. Breakfasts not available other than an 'in your room' pack which was poor and expensive - we only had it once out of 3 mornings, poor value. We felt sorry for them - a beautiful property but very 'tired'.

Lovely old English Pub,limited meal menu,but very good, don’t do breakfast.

Mixed bag stay. The good: comfortable bed, friendly staff, beautiful country location, parking close by. The bad: poor sound insulation, stained carpet, mouldy shower. For the price, I would not return. Solve the above and this would be a great place to stay.
