Comfortable clean room. Wish I’d booked 2 nights! Enjoyed the free entry to the bird park next door. The lady who checked me in was excellent and helped me plan my journey to Zegerplas the following morning (arranged bicycle rent). The restaurant staff were excellent and the food was great. The check-out team were very patient when I checked out a little late, then left something in the room.

The room was a bit more basic and bathroom less modern than other Van der Valk hotels but was well located for my husband to do a “Z” Parkrun! Added bonus was the inclusion of entry to the bird park the hotel is next to - we really enjoyed our visit there in the morning!

Plenty of free parking. Free access to interesting bird and animal park. Nice restaurant with excellent breakfast choice. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Our stay at the hotel was very enjoyable. We received a helpful welcome text prior to arrival and reception staff were friendly and efficient when we checked in. Our room was quiet, spacious and very comfortable. The 11.30 checkout enabled us to take part in Zagerplas parkrun, return and shower before departure. We were delighted to learn that our booking entitled us to free admission to the adjacent Avifunda Birdpark and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves there.

Great room. Hotel split into three buildings which is not ideal if it’s raining! Staff very helpful. Restaurant fabulous.

Very pleasant stay

Booked room with double bed only to be told when we arrived they don’t have rooms with double only single beds.

Waking up in the gap between two single beds wedged together is very uncomfortable. The bathroom always felt a little dirty / gross. Waking up to the birds was nice though, if you’re into that. Other than that it’s just a basic hotel, nothing special.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable and it was nice to have a room with a small terrace. The bird sanctuary and zoo was really enjoyable. It was a nice bonus.
