We really loved this hotel because it was so close to the bus station and the view outside was so beautiful. They have onsen, that we were able to relax after our full day of hiking. Japanese breakfast was good. And the staffs are so friendly.

Overall the place was fine and probably on par with most other places in the area. Which is to say fairly old and in need of a remodel.
The western style room was spacious but looked worn out with stains on the carpets.
Meals were ok - great variety of kaiseki.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
Location is good with a nearby bus stop that gets you to Kamikochi in about 15 minutes.

A truly relaxing and indulgent time in pure Japanese comfort.
We had a few changes to our plans and the hotel were so so accommodating.
Will remember the lovely staff, food and onsen forever.
