Although food and staff were very good. Our ‘superior room in the courtyard’ was very poor. Stained carpets and mugs, no privacy at window unless curtains closed. Worst was the bathroom - about 7 inches higher than a normal bath and a hard small step to use to get in and out of the bath - very hazardous. High price paid for a very poor ‘superior’ room - not luxury room at all

Lovely hotel only point I would say as constructive feedback is the rooms don't have air con. So with the current wave would of been nice to have a fan in the room.

Great stay, didn’t help that it was 30+ degrees and no aircon but we don’t have hot weather every week in the UK. Room was amazing Would 100% come back

Breakfast buffet is quite limited but adequate. Toast, jam, assorted fruits, sausage, bacon, eggs, beans and hash browns. Scrambled eggs would have been better. Room was quite large but old. Peeling paint on the baseboard, old granny wallpaper and a bathroom from 1980. The toilet won't flush without a lot of extra effort. Air conditioner would have been appreciated. It was 81 degrees (27) and stifling in the room. This hotel needs updating desperately. The grounds and gardens are beautiful and the landscape is stunning

Room was beautifully clean. Staff always very polite and helpful.

Lovely comfy bed. Lovely staff. Mediocre food. Property has an unloved feel to it. Could be fixed with a ton of plants around the place but that would require some maintenance. Hilariously, there’s a notice asking residents not to climb out of the window onto the flat roof! All this does is tell me that potentially people are going to climb out the windows! This won’t stop the kind that would do it! I’d remove the sign!

I had a wonderful stay - lovely room, clean and well maintained. Pool area was very nice and good choice at breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful - I loved it.

Very enjoyable stay, while away on a business trip and the room was nice, clean and tidy. Amenities were great and the location was stunning. Excellent food and a relaxing environment. Highly recommend.

Nice little find…. Greeted by lovely staff. Room clean and nicely decorated, looked out to a magnificent view. Impressed with the bar and conservatory and again the view. Had a long journey so we decided to eat a evening meal at the hotel. Was not disappointed, the food was superb. Enjoyed the pool, steam room and sauna the following day. Very clean, could not fault. Left the hotel feeling very satisfied with our choice and would love to return again. Ideal area if you want to visit the ‘Clarkson Empire’ and Cotswolds.
