We stayed in the room on ground floor with a private garden. The experience was excellent with calm and natural ambience. Clean room and plentiful amenities. The Ryokan breakfast experience was outstanding, compliments to the chef and staff. The outdoor spa tub was an amazing way to relax after a day of exploring, totally worth the small charge.

Excellent place. Very traditional Japanese experience. I would suggest to the management to give some education about the Japanese breakfast and the room setting, since most of the visitors are foreigners.

Small Ryokan with 20 rooms. Bathrooms well stocked up with amenities from tooth brush to make up remover to heated hair brush.

Beautiful spotless Japanese room overlooking the garden. Excellent toiletries. Rooftop bath. Exceptional staff. Five minute walk to Philosophers Path. Highly recommended.

An unforgettable stay in Kyoto! Every detail was carefully considered by this property and its staff/owners. High quality amenities and bedding, spacious rooms with gorgeous views. Very quiet. The food was the best we had in Japan. Both breakfast and dinner. Beautifully presented. More art than food. The staff was very helpful, kind and friendly, like a family.
