Staff Pamela was very accommodating and helpful. Amenities is great, spa and warm pool quite relaxing.

In 2026 paying more than £100 a night, I don't think its too much to expect consistent WiFi in your room and leisure facilities that open before 8am !! Fire Alarm at 6am didn't help but can happen anywhere.

This was just a weekend away for visits to Rufford, Sherwood Forest and Clumber Park. We didn’t use the spa at all. Rooms were ok but a little tired. Staff are all quite young and there wasn’t so many of them. Service was acceptable though and always quite pleasant to deal with, if not a little misinformed, with several contradictions. Overall we were very happy with food, services and quality for the price we paid…

The breakfast was the only redeeming thing about our stay. Rooms were old a musty smelling, the carpets were so old and stained and wrinkled in places. The bottled water in the rooms were reused bottles that they top up.

The hotel was clean and generally well kept. We enjoyed a nice stay, but a couple of things would have made things better: - On checking in, the receptionist was very functional. We would have appreciated a welcoming smile as well as being told the relevant information. - The menu needs to be updated to show what is actually served. However, nothing to stop us from returning.

Food was disappointing - higher end prices for poor/cheap quality food. Room was comfortable and clean. Pool area was nice, water was warm. Sauna was wayyyyy too hot though. Unbearably hot. No alternative milk options.

Fantastic

Room was clean and tidy. Staff were polite and pleasant though for our evening meal there were only 2 staff members who were very busy and could have done with an extra pair of hands I think as service was slow. The pool area was well maintained and had plenty of loungers. There was no water fountain though for a little drink after the sauna. Men’s locker room could do with a freshen up. The gym is dated and is mainly cardio and a few resistance machines, some free weights but not much space to use them, no barbell. Hotel is well placed for walks to clumber park and rufford abbey park for a day out.

Dinner was amazing. The rooms are super cute 😍
