Nice view. Just right by the ocean. There is a long walkway accessible from the hotel that we spent a whole day walking around. About 20 min to Aoshima, gorgeous scenery. Need to switch local train to 子供之國station which is 7 min from the hotel. Not too many choices for restaurants around the hotel though. Hotel offers breakfast buffet plus 3 other restaurants. Onsen is great but busy on weekend. Overall, good experience.

Few minutes walk from Kodomonokuni station. We also got the Miyazaki Bus pass from the front desk and travelled to SunMesse and Aoshima. The ocean view from the hotel is stunning especially during the sunrise. We really enjoyed the view and roomy 2-bed room. Public bath was good excepted no "real" open air portion but still enjoyed their bath very much. Staffs were all very friendly and helpful during check in, luggage storage and direction to get on bus for travelling in the area. Definitely will stay again in the future.

Location is what this property is all about. Aoshima Island and Shrine is close by, along with the surfing beach. Accessible by train from Miyazaki City, the surrounding area has an old town feel and specializes in local seafood. Ocean view rooms let you gaze at the surfers catching waves. The hotel is an older building with signs of wear, but is quite adequate for the reasonable price. For those with a car, the amazing Oceanside Udo Jingu Shrine is twenty or so minutes away. The hotel is also quite convenient to Miyazaki Airport.

The Holiday Inn at Miyazaki is an excellent hotel directly located at the beach. Not only is this your place if you are a surfer but also it is ideally located to do a trip down south along the coast of Kyushu. Our sea side room was spacious and clean. Several good restaurants are in walking distance.

Well located but nominal services

Overall I was impressed. A nice hotel overlooking the beach and ocean. The room was nice, although a little dated. It looked like a really nice hotel from the ‘80s, which in a way gave it some charm. My only complaint was the baggage handler who was there to great is outside. He didn’t listen to us when we told him not to take our bags. My wife had to tell him several times to leave them, but he wouldn’t listen. I understand why this service is needed, however, some people (like us) would rather deal with our stuff ourselves. This part of the experience wasn’t enjoyable to and an overall pleasant stay.

Right by the beach, good property

We had a 7th floor room, overlooking the beach. Amazing views. The room was very large, clean and quiet. The hotel is a little dated but it didn’t detract from our stay as the price was great.
