We were two travelers staying with a two bed room. He handed me one key, and I asked for a second because there are two of us? Why do you want two keys he asked…… We were staying two nights and when he checked us in, he never said they only clean every other day. The following day, I told them they could clean our room while we were out. Spoke with three people and thought they understood. They didn’t clean when we came back and I called down to speak with the manager, who said they don’t clean every day. I told him you never said that, and I spoke with three people that they were going to clean the room as we were on a business trip. I have stayed there several times and love the location, but sadly will have to stay elsewhere.

The room wasn't very spacious, but it was clean, I like that the flooring wasn't carpet. Beds were comfortable. Staff was helpful, quiet and respectful. There is a large shopping center accross the street (which we only discovered on our last day, unfortunatly), Hotel conveniently located close to Carmel and Monterey. Comparing location, availability and rates with other nearby hotels, I'd stay there again when visiting the area.

Very nice and clean boutique like motel. Excellent price and safe area. Monterey is a beautiful place to visit. It was about 5 minutes from Fisherman's Wharf driving. Parking was free and right in front of the room. I would stay here again when visiting the area.

Rooms are always clean and all the basics work. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

Kind owners/keepers, overall clean property, just minor issues with left over tape on the wall from what I imagine decorations that were there previously, some dirt smudges on the paint around window and coffee maker did not work. Still fine for an overnight stay, quiet overall and safe location. Comfortable beds, but too high for little ones as there is hard floor and the beds are higher than normal. Good location.

Quiet and lovely place

I would have given it a 5 star if not for the cleaning lady taking all the towels and leaving with 2 bath towels . Never understood why she did that . Then the phone in the room does not work . I can hear the person on the other line but they cannot hear me .

Updated very clean room. Nice to have a fridge with a freezer, microwave, Kuerig( a few more pods would have been nice). Could benefit from a few wall or door hooks. Great area. Easy to access all the attractions of Monterey/Carmel. Walk across the street to a very nice outdoor shopping mall with multiple dining options.

Need more mirrors for females to do makeup while others in bathroom
