Parked at this hotel for £20 per day. We were fortunate that spaces were available. Staff were professional and welcoming. The building & original features were great. Basic room and slightly outdated ( but clean & functional bathroom). Bed was comfortable and room was very clean. The location was perfect with bus stop literally round the corner & a street away a lovely pub that serves food & breakfast (dog friendly too) Hyde Park is a stones throw away & for the price its a great hotel.

Staff was exceedingly knowledgeable and helpful with all my dumb touristy questions :) made me and my feel very welcome throughout my stay.

You have to know what this place is before you book it. This is a Victorian-era hotel with a 70s vibe, and if that's your jam, you're going to have a great time. The quirk is part of the charm. If you're looking for a modern hotel with all the amenities and in-room appliances, this probably isn't the place for you. But for what it is, it's a clean, well-kept hotel with genuinely friendly staff.

Helpful and courteous staff allowed us very early check-in because a room was available - much appreciated after a red-eye flight. Hotel room was exactly as pictured. Clean and comfortable. The location next to Hyde park is wonderful. It's about a 10 minute walk to the closest Tube station, and about 15 minutes walk from Paddington Station. I didn't use use the dining room or any other amenities so have no comments there.

Exactly as expected: a small room in a charming older building with a good location to Paddington and Hyde Park. Inviting airy common room and easy check-in and check-out. No AC, which isn’t unusual for London at-large, but can be challenging on warmer nights (which should be few). Room had a plug-in fan that helped some. Overall, I would happily stay here again, especially as a solo traveler who doesn’t want to be located in a more bustling neighborhood.

The only plus is that the hotel is pet friendly

The room was very dated and had some stains on the towels and bed cover. The floors creak very loudly which means you can hear your upstairs neighbours every step. I loved the retro bathroom, staff was friendly. Conveniently located, accross the street from Hyde park and a few subway stations nearby.

Room was clean and comfortable but room was quite hot (no air con as far as I could see). Location is very convenient and staff were welcoming. Beds were comfy and room amenities were good, shower head was a little old and at a fixed height.

The property needs some updates or a total new renovations.
