We really enjoyed the fire pits up in front of the hotel, and the fact that there were more than one. It was very nice to sit out there have a glass of wine and just spend time together.

Very friendly and polite staff. The breakfast was delicious! The room was very clean, but would liked to have had enough washcloths for the 4 of us. Also would have liked 2 extra pool towels since we had 4 people in the room. Other than that the hotel was very pretty and comfortable.

I was surprised by all the hidden fees that were not revealed to us when we booked with you. I.E. $30- FOR PARKING - why do you have to pay for parking at your place? It's a large parking lot. Why do you have to pay to use the pool -$10. that should be complimentary for guests as should morning coffee. Kiosk wasn't open so I ended up buying $9.00 cup of coffee from you - that's outragously high. And paying $100 for a pet - I understand a pet fee but your costs are ridicously high for enjoyable stay - I won;t book here again

We'd stayed here in the past and were very satisfied. This time, however, we saw rats twice in walkway areas around the pool (right near rooms and actually ON the walkways), which we mentioned to staff, who came out to look and saw them too. We were essentially told that, yes, rats were around the grounds. Not a very comforting answer and no indication of anything being done.
Our very dimly lit, ground-floor handicapped room opened directly onto the back parking lot where the immediate grounds weren't very clean, was rather noisy, and didn't feel especially safe. And they charge now for parking, which we knew when we booked, but was still a bit disappointing considering it was free to guests before.
It's still a reasonably pleasant hotel, with cute common area decor; maybe that particular week was just a glitch? The pool itself is still wonderful!

We always love staying here with our dogs when we visit Carmel. It’s a great place to stay! We got a balcony this time and our dogs loved it! It’s super close to the beach and there are some dog friendly food places to eat at in walking distance. It’s always pretty clean and the staff is very friendly. We’d definitely come back
